Paul Davis Restoration, Inc. is a national franchise organization that provides property damage emergency services, restoration and reconstruction services for residential and commercial properties due to water, fire, mold, storm and other disasters. The Mitigation Technician position is a career in field services in the property damage restoration industry. The position is primarily responsible for responding to emergency, property damaging situations. The Technician is accountable for addressing the property and the customer with skill, knowledge, and professionalism.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Work safely in residential and commercial properties that have been damaged by fire, water, storm, and/or mold
- Survey damage within the property
- Evaluate and record damage to all items within the property
- Cleaning process for both contents and structural damage
- Demolition of structural damage to properties through the use of hand and power tools
- Clean up assigned job sites after demolition
- Perform initial site visits
- Set restoration equipment within guidelines
- Complete notes of assigned jobs in our primary operating system (RMS)
- Contact the customer of assigned jobs with ETA
- Take photos of jobs assigned at start, completion, and throughout the process
- Responsible for maintaining assigned vehicles and equipment
- Responsible for unloading and reloading assigned vehicles with equipment
- Keep equipment clean and organized in the shop
- Responsible for unloading trash in assigned areas
- Responsible for recording your time and coding it to the job assigned
- Pass IICRC certifications as IICRC classes are offered
- Assist in the development of new hires through on the job training
- Hold our company’s Vision, Values, Mission and 10 Serving Basics throughout job position
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Customer Service experience
- 1 plus year experience in a craft, trade, or manual labor position or equivalent schooling
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor Degree
- One or more years’ experience within the restoration industry
