The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this position will focus on managing the monthly payroll process while contributing to the wider finance function. You'll be responsible for end-to-end payroll, alongside supporting purchase ledger and general finance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end monthly payroll (PAYE, pensions, statutory payments)
- Processing starters, leavers, salary changes, overtime and expenses
- Managing payroll queries and maintaining accurate records
- Posting payroll journals and supporting reporting
- Processing supplier invoices and payments
- Reconciling supplier accounts and managing aged creditors
- Processing staff expenses and company card transactions
- Reconciling income streams and posting journals
- Supporting general finance activities
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
What We're Looking For
- Strong end-to-end payroll experience
- Experience across purchase ledger
- Comfortable posting journals
- Good Excel skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
This role will suit someone who already has solid payroll experience and can pick things up quickly.
