Client Accounts Assistant – Take the Next Step in Your Practice Career If you\’re working in practice and ready to take on more responsibility, this role offers the next step, reviewing work, supporting juniors, and working closely with a varied client portfolio. This position suits someone with a strong foundation in accounts preparation who\’s confident handling their own workload, but who also enjoys supporting others and contributing to a collaborative team. The Role: Review accounts prepared by junior team members and assist with finalising year-end accounts Prepare more complex accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies Oversee and support bookkeeping and VAT return processes Liaise directly with clients, building strong working relationships and resolving queries Use cloud-based software such as Xero, QuickBooks and Sage (training can be provided where needed) Support internal processes and help maintain quality control across client files What We\’re Looking For: Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified (or qualified by experience) Strong accounts prep skills and an eye for detail when reviewing others\’ work Good communication skills and confidence interacting with clients A proactive and professional approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team What\’s on Offer: Full study support (AAT, ACCA or equivalent, if applicable) Salary: £25,000 – £29,000 depending on experience Development opportunities available.
