GBP30m turnover SME in the manufacturing / engineering sector recruiting an experienced senior finance partner to provide robust and effective Business Partnering to the CEO/VP of the business. Part of a larger international Group.

A keen eye for detail is essential. The candidate should personally dive deeply into the detail and become the expert in all processes, data and information to provide up-to-date and pro-active insights. A superior attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture are required.

Full responsibility for the finance function includes providing financial input into strategy and project planning, monitoring business performance, and suggesting improvements to increase efficiency, insight, and control that scale with the business. Responsibilities include producing the monthly management accounts, forecasting, budgeting, and annual statutory reporting, as well as cash and debtor management and tax compliance.

The role involves providing business partnering to the CEO / VP to optimize financial performance and support effective business decisions. The candidate will drive the definition and implementation of standards and business-specific guidelines in financial control processes. Liaising with auditors to ensure that the annual audits are managed effectively, and that the statutory accounts are accurate, complete, and delivered on time is also part of the role.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent with a proven track record in finance and accounting.
  • Possess ACA, CIMA, ACCA qualifications or equivalent.
  • Experience of managing people.
  • Experience of leading a Finance team in a medium-sized business.
