Penmaenpool Toll Bridge is looking for a Toll Keeper to join our team to keep the bridge open to both foot traffic and vehicles all year round. Situated at the heart of Snowdonia National Park in the picturesque village of Penmaenpool nr Dolgellau, the bridge is a stunning example of Victorian engineering and one of only a few of its kind remaining in the UK. It’s a popular tourist attraction as well as providing convenient local access to commuters.

We are looking to appoint an additional Toll Keeper on a zero hours basis to work under the guidance of the Tollbridge Manager and alongside our existing team. Together you’ll keep traffic flowing and collect the relevant toll fees from visitors wishing to cross the bridge on foot, cycling or driving. Our current team works part time with flexible shifts arranged on a rota basis. The number of scheduled hours may vary from week to week and shifts will include some weekend and bank holiday working. In the brighter summer months when the bridge is open for longer hours each day, you may be required to work some evenings. We need our team to be flexible, and in return we’ll be as flexible as we can too. We use WhatsApp as our regular team communication tool.
