Global law firm with a fantastic reputation has a brand new requirement for a UK Immigration Director. The role will lead the firm's UK immigration offering, providing advice and guidance to a range of multi-national organisations regarding inbound immigration queries. This is a rare opportunity for someone keen to develop an immigration practice within a highly regarded global firm.
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Act as main point of contact for a range of clients regarding immigration queries.
- Provide advice to corporations on the Skilled Worker/Global Mobility visa category and act as a Level 1 User on the Sponsor Management System.
- Visit client sites to provide training and undertake audits on immigration compliance and employment law implications.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the wider firm on all immigration topics.
- Lead a team of immigration professionals, handling any escalations for complex cases.
- Coordinate with wider firm practice areas to offer a multi-faceted approach.
- Lead in business development activities, driving new firm initiatives.
- Ensure department compliance with UK regulations.
You will have strong experience in UK corporate immigration law and a proven background in leading a department. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify potential commercial opportunities and cross-sell firm services is essential. The ability to build strong client relationships is also key as you will provide a main point of contact service to a range of high-profile clients. You should be a subject matter expert for all immigration queries, have previous people management experience, and a proven track record within business development, demonstrating the ability to generate revenues on a consistent basis. Ideally, you will be OISC Level 1 accredited or willing to undertake this accreditation.
