Immigration Director

Global law firm with a fantastic reputation, has a brand new requirement for a UK Immigration Director. The role will lead the firms\’ UK immigration offering, providing advice and guidance to a range of multi-national organisations regarding inbound immigration queries.

This is a rare opportunity for someone keen to develop an immigration practice within a highly regarded global firm.

Your main responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

• Act as main point of contact for a range of clients regarding immigration queries.
• Provide advice to corporations on the Skilled Worker/Global Mobility visa category and act as a Level 1 User on the Sponsor Management System.
• Visit client sites to provide training and undertake audits on immigration compliance and employment law implications.
• Act as a subject matter expert for wider firm on all immigration topics.
• Lead a team of immigration professionals, handing any escalations for complex cases.
• Coordinate with wider firm practice areas to offer multi-faceted approach.
• Lead in business development activities, driving new firm initiatives.
• Ensure department compliance with UK regulations.

You:

• Will have strong experience in UK corporate immigration law and proven background in leading a department.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to identify potential commercial opportunities and cross-sell firm services.
• Ability to build strong client relationships is also key as you will provide a main point of contact service to a range of high profile clients.
• Subject matter expert for all immigration queries.
• Previous people management experience.
• Proven track record within business development; with ability to demonstrate generating revenues on a consistent basis.
• Ideally OISC Level 1 accredited or willingness to undertake.
