A highly regarded, full-service law firm with an excellent reputation for its entrepreneurial and commercial approach is looking to appoint an ambitious Immigration Associate to join its successful department.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced immigration lawyer who is keen to play a key role in developing and growing an immigration practice within a well-established, multi-service firm.
You will advise a diverse client base, including corporate organisations and high-net-worth private individuals, on a broad range of UK immigration matters. Working closely with the wider practice areas across the firm, you will have the opportunity to build strong client relationships, contribute to business development and help shape the future growth of the immigration offering.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a primary point of contact for clients on a wide range of immigration matters.
- Advising corporate clients on Skilled Worker and Global Business Mobility routes, as well as wider sponsorship and compliance issues.
- Acting as a Level 1 User on the Sponsor Management System.
- Visiting client sites to deliver training and undertake immigration compliance audits, including consideration of associated employment law implications.
- Providing clear, practical and commercially focused advice to high-net-worth private clients on UK immigration law and current legislation.
- Acting as an internal subject matter expert and supporting colleagues across the wider firm on immigration-related matters.
- Working collaboratively with other practice areas to deliver a seamless, multi-disciplinary service to clients.
- Supporting the Immigration Partner in raising the profile of the team and promoting the firm’s immigration offering.
- Playing an active role in business development, client relationship management and new initiatives to support the continued growth of the practice.
You will:
- Be a UK qualified Solicitor, ideally with 2-5 years’ PQE, although candidates outside of this range with the right experience will also be considered.
- Strong experience advising on UK corporate immigration law, including sponsorship, Skilled Worker and Global Business Mobility routes.
- Exposure to working on HNW private client cases, including areas such as citizenship and global talent.
- The ability to provide commercially focused, pragmatic advice to a sophisticated client base.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and the confidence to act as a trusted adviser and key point of contact for high-profile clients.
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to identify opportunities to develop client relationships and cross-sell the firm’s wider services.
- The ambition and entrepreneurial mindset to help develop and grow a successful immigration practice within a leading multi-service firm.
