We are now seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Controller to lead our Mercedes-Benz Brighton workshop to oversee the efficient throughput and job flow between our service advisors and technicians. Description About the Role:
- Coordinate daily workshop activities and assign repair orders to service technicians using our Dealer Management System.
- Oversee the daily operations of the workshop, managing a team of over 30 technicians and apprentices.
- Manage the workshop team to maximise productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
- Maintain an on-time delivery rate to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Identify technician strengths and weaknesses to allocate work effectively while creating opportunities to develop the team's skills.
- Work closely with Service Advisors to communicate vehicle progress and any additional work needed to customers.
- Monitor and improve job throughput to enhance overall efficiency and productivity.
- Foster a supportive environment focused on customer satisfaction and team collaboration.
- Collaborate with the Workshop Manager to implement best practices and streamline processes.
- Maintain high standards of service quality and ensure compliance with Mercedes-Benz protocols.
- Analyse workflow and identify areas for improvement, ensuring that all operations align with dealership efficiency standards.
Skills And Experiences About You:
- Previous dealership experience as a Workshop Controller or Workshop Manager.
- Utilise dealership training and experience, particularly within Mercedes-Benz or European brands, to drive efficiencies in the workshop.
- Ability to maintain workshop productivity and efficiency levels.
- Strong organisation and leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor, including apprentices.
- Be reliable, self-motivated, and have a great work ethic.
- Demonstrate a high degree of teamwork with the ability to work within a dynamic workshop environment.
- Hold a current Australian driver's license.
