Mercedes-Benz Brighton is looking for an experienced Reconditioning / Roadworthy Technician to join our successful Service Department and help ensure our pre-owned vehicles are prepared, inspected, and ready for sale to the highest standard. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician with Roadworthy Certificate experience — ideally holding a Light Vehicle Roadworthy Licence — to join a professional, supportive and well-established dealership environment.

About the role
As our Reconditioning / Roadworthy Technician, you will play a key role in preparing our pre-owned vehicle range for sale, ensuring each vehicle meets quality, compliance and presentation standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting accurate and compliant Roadworthy Certificate inspections
- Completing mechanical assessments and providing clear advice on vehicle condition
- Performing general repairs, reconditioning work and scheduled servicing
- Diagnosing and resolving complex or unusual mechanical issues
- Carrying out test drives and final quality checks before delivery or return
- Working closely with workshop and dealership teams to support smooth daily operations
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A Light Vehicle Roadworthy Licence
- Trade qualification as an Automotive Technician
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair experience
- Experience across luxury and/or volume brands — highly regarded
- The ability to work independently and meet required standards
- Strong communication and time management skills
- A positive, reliable and professional attitude
- A current unrestricted driver’s licence
