This full-time role is based in central London (Soho). The Senior eCommerce Sales Engineer supports the sales team in acquiring new brand partners by identifying high-potential accounts. Builds data-driven, compelling business cases that engage brands and set expectations Pattern can deliver on. Works across sales, ads, data science, brand management, finance, and other teams to drive strategies that help close new brand partners. Is the subject matter expert on Amazon (and other marketplaces) and Pattern capabilities so Account Executives gain confidence on calls. Supports a smooth transition from sales to brand management. Coordinates with stakeholders domestically and internationally to prioritise projects. Presents business cases to potential accounts (executive teams). Provides deep understanding of EU & UK marketplace opportunities and how well brands can perform in each market.
What will I need to thrive in this role?
- 5-7 years of experience in ecommerce – preferably working in ecommerce at a brand or on the brand management side (e.g., with marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay), ideally 1P.
- Deep understanding of 1P strengths & weaknesses and economics.
- Understanding of key success metrics for a brand in an ecommerce environment.
- Ability to translate data into insights and effectively communicate them with senior stakeholders.
- Analytical skills with Excel/Google Sheets and experience building presentations for executives.
- Clear and concise communication, with the ability to tailor messaging to the audience (exec level vs mid-level management).
- Ability to prioritise daily activities to prep materials for high-priority accounts and prep reps with insights.
- Understanding of account context and pain points to tailor messaging and decks to meet needs.
- Ability to work efficiently cross-functionally and internationally; build relationships across departments to support business cases and Pattern capabilities.
- Solid grasp of industry stats and Pattern proof points; ability to process qualitative/quantitative data to create value for potential partners and stay up-to-speed on industry trends.
