The Social Commerce Manager will lead the development and day-to-day management of Pattern’s social commerce capability, with a focus on TikTok Shop. This role will be responsible for launching and managing brand storefronts, building scalable processes, coordinating operational workflows, and driving growth across a focused portfolio of 3–4 brands.

What is the day in the life of a Social Commerce Manager?

  • Manage a portfolio of social commerce brands on TikTok Shop, overseeing launch, activation, and ongoing marketplace performance.
  • Own the day-to-day running of brand shops, including product setup, merchandising, samples coordination, and operational execution.
  • Build and organize scalable workflows for shop management, affiliate coordination, creator sampling, and campaign execution.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to align social commerce initiatives with broader commercial goals and identify opportunities for brand growth.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and onboarding frameworks for brands entering TikTok Shop and other emerging social commerce channels.
  • Identify and prepare brands for social commerce activation, supporting both the conversion of existing clients and the launch of new brands.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, compliance, finance, and operations teams to establish processes and best practices for an evolving channel.
  • Serve as the internal expert on TikTok Shop and social commerce trends, educating stakeholders and helping shape internal strategy.
  • Monitor platform, creator, and affiliate trends to inform channel strategy and improve performance.
  • Support the buildout of future team structures and operating models as Pattern expands its social commerce offering.

What will I need to thrive in this role?

  • Hands-on experience in social commerce, TikTok Shop, influencer marketing, creator partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of how to launch and manage brands within TikTok Shop, including affiliate and operational workflows.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities, build business cases, and drive revenue through emerging channels.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and building new processes or programs from scratch.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across multiple teams and functions.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Deep familiarity with the creator economy, affiliate ecosystems, and social commerce trends.
  • Experience at TikTok, within a specialist social commerce agency, or in a similar marketplace management role is strongly preferred.
