Investment Controller (m/f/d)

As Investment Controller (m/f/d) you will play a key role at our location in London! The Investment Controlling team is responsible for fund accounting across all PATRIZIA’s investment strategies and funds in the real estate and infrastructure asset classes. This includes the interactions with fund managers and other internal teams as well as the oversight of relevant services from outsourced providers in support of these functions.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely capture of asset management mandates, including a thorough understanding of individual property assets and accounting for rent roll, tenant incentives, rent-free concessions, service charges, voids, capex, and more.
• Manage third-party service providers (local accountants, tax advisors, auditors, and property managers) to guarantee quality and timely reporting.
• Review management accounts prepared by local administrators and instruct necessary adjustments.
• Prepare GAAP adjustments, cash flows, NAV reconciliations, distributions, and liquidity forecasts.
• Collaborate with tax advisors, review tax computations (including UK VAT and CIS returns), and update cash flow models.
• Maintain and reconcile project expenditures and cash trackers.
• Prepare, manage, and monitor budgets, analyzing performance against budgeted figures.
• Complete quarterly investor reports, including performance metrics and detailed analysis.
• Provide recommendations to trustees regarding capital drawdowns, distributions, and other finance-related matters.
• Organize payment runs with external service providers.
• Oversee audits, tax declarations, board meetings, and coordinate resolutions.

What we look for

• Qualified accountant (ICAEW/ICAS/CIMA/ACCA) with at least 3 years of experience in the real estate sector
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, with up-to-date understanding of relevant financial regulations and standards
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and external service providers
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, international environment
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to maintain a strategic perspective
• Excellent communication skills in English and strong analytical abilities, including advanced Excel proficiency
