We are seeking an experienced Tax associate with deep technical knowledge of U.K. corporate tax to support our global tax function. The ideal candidate will possess hands‑on experience in tax compliance, tax accounting, cross‑border structuring, and advisory support for multinational corporate operations. This role will work closely with regional finance teams, corporate leadership, and external advisors to ensure our group’s tax obligations are met accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Corporate Tax Compliance & Reporting
- Oversee U.K. corporation tax computations and filings, including CT600 and SA800 submissions
- Ensure timely filing of estimated tax payments, extensions, and annual returns for UK and overseas jurisdiction
- Coordinate provision and tax accounting processes, including deferred tax calculations under U.S. GAAP and IFRS
- Maintain and improve internal controls over the tax reporting process (SOX, internal audit requirements)
- Providing oversight of corporate tax processes in overseas jurisdictions
- Analyse the tax impact of cross‑border transactions, reorganisations, acquisitions, and intercompany financing
- Support transfer pricing initiatives, documentation, and implementation of arm’s‑length policy
- Provide guidance on international tax matters such as withholding taxes, permanent establishment assessments, and cross‑jurisdictional issues
- Monitor legislative changes in both U.K. and overseas, assessing potential impacts to the business
- Ensure compliance with OECD guidelines for transfer pricing purposes
- Manage tax audits and inquiries from relevant tax authorities
- Partner with finance, legal, treasury, and business units to support operational and strategic initiatives and process improvement
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to manage compliance obligations and technical analysis
- Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on tax matters
- Required CTA or equivalent professional certification
- 5+ years of experience in UK corporate tax compliance for multinational organisations, either in‑house or with leading tax advisory practice
- Strong understanding of UK corporate tax framework and international corporate tax provisions
- Experience with cross‑border reorganisations, M&A due diligence, and international corporate structures
- Knowledge of IFRS and/or U.S. GAAP tax accounting (ASC 740)
- Familiarity with OECD BEPS and transfer pricing methodologies
- Proficiency in financial systems software e.g. Oracle, SAP
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues to non‑tax stakeholders
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
- Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset
