The role is based in our Edinburgh office but with opportunities to travel. We operate a hybrid working policy with the opportunity to work from home one day a week.
The Role
Reporting to an Investment Director within Private Equity, a fantastic opportunity has arisen within our Edinburgh team for someone to join our business at an exciting phase of growth and expansion. Ultimately you will support the GPMS Investment team in a wider variety of tasks and projects. Key responsibilities will include:
- Due diligence – Screening and review of various investment opportunities across primary, secondary and co-investment strategies. This will include diligence of company fundamentals, valuation metrics and market dynamics as well as analysis of performance metrics for private equity sponsors.
- Market mapping – Supporting in identifying and accessing the best new private equity opportunities by sector and region across Europe.
- Manager meetings and industry event attendance – Represent Patria at meetings with high quality private equity sponsors across Europe for update, sourcing and monitoring purposes.
- Reporting – Support the team in the preparation of client reporting, including portfolio valuation and performance analysis.
- Fundraising – Support in the production of marketing materials for various products.
The Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Qualifications- Strong analytical capabilities combined with intellectual curiosity.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both in written materials and in person.
- Flexible, proactive approach with ability to multi-task and deliver to deadlines.
- A collaborative mindset, working with others to drive for our clients and our business.
- Fluent English with working knowledge of another European language helpful (but not necessary).
- Strong IT literacy including Excel modelling, Word and PowerPoint.
- Degree qualified.
- Professional experience of 1 to 3 years (including internships). Preference for relevant experience in private equity (either investing or at an intermediary), however relevant experience in consulting, audit, law or investment banking will also be considered.
Location
Edinburgh. Potential to travel internationally.
