About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst (Funds) to support the implementation of a platform upgrade in Patria GPMS. The role will work as an integral part of the business and the project team to deliver an advanced data platform and other related platform enhancements. This will include daily engagement with operational, investment and technology teams and our external partners. The role will have a particular focus on embedding the data platform and meeting complex business requirements from the platform's (BI) reporting layer. This is a fixed term contract role that is Edinburgh based and will report to the Head of Reporting & Data Analytics in GPMS. We operate a hybrid working policy with the opportunity to work from home one day a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate requirements, third-party build, delivery and adoption of the new platform's reporting outputs, with strong emphasis on accuracy and auditability.
- Develop the operating model for the maintenance of those reporting outputs, incorporating robust processes for version control, data lineage, and change management.
- Ensure consistency and coherence of reporting outputs, terminology and data structures across asset classes.
- Support the project and BAU teams with an advanced understanding of the platform's data inputs and outputs and implement controls to monitor data quality and integrity.
- Create and maintain comprehensive artefacts (e.g. Data dictionaries, process flows etc.) to support transparency and knowledge transfer.
- Support wider initiatives across the programme including use of commercially available NLP and LLM tools applied to the platform.
Skills & Experience
- Experienced business analyst with at least 5 years' experience.
- Asset management experience essential, private assets experience beneficial.
- Experience of working on tech-enabled, data-driven projects.
- Proficiency in Power BI and other data visualization tools.
- Experience of working with AI capabilities like NLP, ML, LLM applications beneficial.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, proactive, detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact and build relationships with a wide range of people, work effectively in a fast-paced environment and keen to take responsibility.

- Comprehensive data governance framework and control processes implemented across the platform.
- Standardised and auditable reporting suite delivered via Power BI, aligned with business requirements.
- Data quality metrics and monitoring tools established to ensure integrity and consistency across asset classes.
- Complete set of project artefacts including data dictionaries, process flows, and governance documentation.
- Operational model for ongoing maintenance and enhancement of reporting outputs, including version control and change management protocols.
