This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Litigation Secretary to join a high-performing team and play a key role in supporting busy litigation solicitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to litigation solicitors
  • Produce high-quality legal documents, correspondence, court forms, and bundles, including high-volume typing and audio-typing
  • Format, proofread, and prepare documents in line with firm templates and house style
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and emails on behalf of fee earners
  • Maintain accurate and well-organised case files, both paper-based and electronic
  • Assist with diary management, scheduling meetings, court dates, and appointments
  • Prepare and serve court bundles and litigation documentation as required
  • Handle client and professional telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner
  • Provide general administrative support to the wider team as required

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a legal secretarial or litigation support role within a law firm
  • Excellent typing and audio-typing skills with strong attention to detail and formatting
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel (case management system experience advantageous)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines
  • Highly organised, professional, and proactive approach

  • Familiarity with litigation terminology and court procedures
