Defence Litigation & Recoveries Solicitor, Belfast, Suit 3-7 yrs PQE. Overview Pathway Legal is working with a leading international law firm who are seeking an experienced Defence Litigation & Recoveries Solicitor to join their established Belfast team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor with 37 years PQE and strong experience in defence litigation and recoveries, ideally gained within an insurance or defendant litigation environment. The successful candidate will join a highly regarded team handling a varied caseload of defence litigation and recovery claims, with excellent opportunities for career development and progression. Key Responsibilities Managing a varied caseload of defence litigation and recovery matters Handling insurance defence, civil litigation and recovery claims Managing claims from instruction through to resolution Advising clients throughout the litigation process Drafting pleadings, court documentation, affidavits and interlocutory applications Conducting litigation across the High Court, County Court and Small Claims Court Liaising with clients, counsel, experts and other relevant parties Conducting settlement negotiations and progressing matters to resolution Providing regular updates and reports to clients Managing deadlines and ensuring matters progress efficiently Working collaboratively as part of an established litigation team Essential Skills Qualified Solicitor with 37 years PQE Strong previous experience in defence litigation and recoveries Experience within insurance, civil litigation or defendant litigation Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court processes Excellent drafting and client management skills Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines High level of accuracy and attention to detail Professional and commercial approach Whats on Offer Excellent Belfast location Hybrid working Competitive salary based on experience Performance-related bonus Excellent benefits package Strong pension and wider employee benefits Opportunity to join a leading international law firm Excellent career development and progression opportunities Professional and supportive working environment Long term career opportunity At Pathway, we treat all applications with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
