Pathway Legal is delighted to be working with a highly respected and long-established law firm based in North Belfast in the appointment of a Solicitor to join their Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified Solicitor up to 5 years PQE who is keen to develop a long-term career specialising in Wills and Probate within a prestigious and supportive practice. The successful candidate will join a well-regarded firm with a strong reputation for client care and high-quality legal services across Northern Ireland. The role offers the opportunity to manage a varied caseload while working closely with experienced practitioners in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wills & Estate Planning
    • Drafting Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Trust documentation
    • Advising clients on estate planning and succession matters
    • Providing clear and practical advice tailored to clients’ individual circumstances
  • Probate & Estate Administration
    • Managing probate and estate administration files from instruction through to completion
    • Preparing applications for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration
    • Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions and third parties throughout the process
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Delivering an exceptional standard of client service
    • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
    • Handling sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Solicitor in Northern Ireland or due to qualify shortly
  • NQ to 5 years PQE with exposure to Private Client, Wills or Probate work
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and file management abilities
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload independently and efficiently
  • A genuine interest in developing a specialist career in Wills and Probate
