An excellent opportunity for a Solicitor (0–5 PQE) to join a specialist Counter Fraud team within a leading international legal environment in Belfast. The role suits a litigator looking to specialise in fraud and complex motor and casualty claims. The team is award-winning and highly collaborative, working across pre-litigated and litigated matters, closely with clients and external agencies across the UK and Ireland. This is a strong career opportunity within a fast-paced insurance litigation environment with excellent training and progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage litigated motor, credit hire and casualty fraud claims (County Court & High Court)
- Handle delegated and non-delegated authority matters
- Attend Court (in person or remotely) for advocacy
- Act as client contact, providing clear and commercial advice
- Ensure SLA compliance and internal procedures are met
- Maintain strong file management and MI reporting
- Work towards approx. 1,440 chargeable hours annually
- Support business development and client training
- Develop internal networks and wider firm awareness
- Maintain technical knowledge and CPD
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 0–5 PQE Solicitor with strong litigation background
- Insurance litigation / motor / credit hire / fraud experience beneficial
- Strong knowledge of NI litigation process
- Strong communication and client skills
- Analytical, investigative and commercially aware
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Strong organisation and caseload management
