About the Role
We are looking for a committed and adaptable Core Subject Tutor to deliver English, Maths and Science to students in an alternative provision setting. This role involves working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis, supporting young people who may have experienced barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons across English, Maths and Science (KS3/KS4)
- Adapt teaching to meet individual needs
- Support students with SEMH and additional needs
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records
- Build positive relationships to support engagement and behaviour
Requirements
- Experience working with young people in education or alternative provision
- Ability to deliver core subjects confidently
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A patient, resilient and flexible approach
- Teaching qualification or relevant degree
- Experience with SEN/SEMH learners
- Background in alternative provision
