We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Quality to lead quality assurance and continuous improvement across Pathway Group. This is a senior leadership role with both strategic and operational responsibility for quality of provision, compliance, and learner outcomes. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving Ofsted outcomes, ensuring compliance with awarding bodies and funders, and driving outstanding learning, teaching and assessment across all programmes.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Quality Improvement
- Provide strategic leadership for quality assurance and continuous improvement across all provision.
- Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of the Quality Strategy, Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs), and Quality & Governance Framework.
- Maintain and improve Ofsted grades, quality certifications and direct claims status.
- Analyse quality and compliance data, learner feedback and performance trends, reporting risks and improvements to senior leadership.
- Represent Pathway Group with Ofsted, awarding bodies and external partners.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Oversee Internal Quality Assurance (IQA), assessment, verification and standardisation processes.
- Ensure all qualifications and programmes are awarding-body approved, compliant and meet qualification rules.
- Develop and implement effective sampling plans for internal verification.
- Lead and minute quarterly standardisation meetings.
- Manage and close actions arising from external audits and verification visits.
- Teaching, Learning & Assessment
- Oversee observations of teaching, learning and assessment.
- Ensure schemes of work, lesson plans and learner journeys meet awarding body and funding requirements.
- Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to strengthen planning and delivery.
- Ensure tutors, assessors and trainers are vocationally competent, appropriately qualified and engaged in ongoing CPD.
- Learner Experience & Outcomes
- Ensure learner feedback is captured, analysed and used to drive improvement.
- Monitor learner journeys and individual training plans.
- Oversee the quality of learner portfolios and evidence.
- Support teams to achieve high success rates, achievement and positive progression outcomes.
- Leadership & Culture
- Support, challenge and develop quality, assessment and delivery teams.
- Promote safeguarding, British Values, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, and Health & Safety.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and safe culture where learners and staff feel valued and supported.
