Pathway Group is looking for an engaging Employability Trainer and Coach to help unemployed adults build the confidence, skills and behaviours needed to secure sustainable employment. This is a practical, learner-focused role. You will deliver interactive sessions while providing individual coaching to learners who may face barriers such as low confidence, limited work experience, gaps in employment or uncertainty about their career direction.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging employability and personal-development sessions
- Coach learners towards realistic employment and progression goals
- Support learners with CVs, applications, job searching and interview preparation
- Build learners’ confidence, communication and workplace behaviours
- Maintain accurate attendance, progress and intervention records
- Work closely with the engagement, delivery and employer teams
- Support learners to prepare for work experience and employer interviews
- Contribute towards learner attendance, progression and employment KPIs
Essential requirements:
- Experience delivering employability training, coaching or learner support
- Strong communication and motivational skills
- Confidence working with adults from a range of backgrounds
- Ability to manage groups while also providing individual support
- Good organisation and record-keeping skills
- Competence using Microsoft Office and online delivery systems
Desirable requirements:
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent
- Level 3 Information, Advice and Guidance qualification
- Experience working on funded employability programmes
- Knowledge of the Birmingham employment market
- Experience supporting unemployed or economically inactive adults
The successful candidate will be energetic, approachable and commercially aware. You must be able to build rapport quickly while holding learners accountable for their progress.
