We are looking for an experienced Beauty Tutor and Assessor to support the delivery and assessment of beauty qualifications on a freelance contract basis. This role would suit someone who is confident delivering engaging beauty programmes, assessing learner work, maintaining strong compliance standards and supporting learners towards successful achievement. The successful candidate must hold relevant beauty qualifications and a recognised assessing qualification. An IQA qualification is preferred but is not mandatory.

You will play a key role in ensuring learners receive strong teaching, practical support, clear assessment feedback and a high-quality learning experience. The role will be aligned to our QCCI framework, meaning delivery must be Quality led, Compliant, Commercial and Impactful.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and effective beauty training sessions to learners.
  • Assess learner work in line with awarding body and internal quality requirements.
  • Provide constructive and timely feedback to support learner progression and achievement.
  • Support learners to complete their qualifications within planned timescales.
  • Maintain accurate learner records, assessment paperwork and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure assessment decisions are valid, reliable, fair and consistent.
  • Work closely with curriculum, quality and operations teams to ensure high standards of delivery.
  • Support standardisation activity and continuous improvement where required.
  • Contribute to teaching, learning and assessment materials where appropriate.
  • Take ownership of learner progress and support strong qualification outcomes.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Relevant Beauty qualifications.
  • Recognised assessing qualification, such as TAQA, A1, CAVA or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering and assessing Beauty qualifications.
  • Strong technical knowledge within the beauty sector.
  • Good understanding of assessment, awarding body and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work independently on a freelance contract basis.
Desirable
  • Recognised IQA qualification, such as V1, IQA or equivalent.
  • Experience internally quality assuring Beauty qualifications.
  • Experience working with adult learners.
  • Experience supporting fast-paced funded or commercial delivery.
  • Experience supporting the launch or development of new qualifications.
