We are now looking for a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to join our team and deliver high-quality, impactful teaching in Maths, English, and ICT.
We expect you to:
- Plan and deliver engaging Functional Skills sessions (Entry Level to Level 2).
- Support learners in improving core skills as part of their study programmes.
- Set personalised targets, monitor progress, and ensure timely achievement.
- Use innovative strategies to overcome learning barriers and meet diverse needs.
- Maintain high standards in line with Ofsted and funding requirements.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Teaching qualification (PTLLS/AET or above) + Assessor Award (TAQA, CAVA or equivalent).
- Experience delivering Functional Skills online or in classroom settings.
- Passion for supporting learners to develop confidence, independence, and employability.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital learning tools.
