Our client is a top National law firm, known for providing expert legal services across multiple sectors. They are seeking a proactive and highly organised Legal PA to join their busy Dispute Resolution team in Belfast. This role offers full PA support to Legal Advisors, as well as cover across the wider UK team when required. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to use their own initiative, and have exceptional attention to detail. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive legal team, offering exposure to high-quality work across complex litigation and dispute resolution matters, within a professional environment that values excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Full diary management, proactively managing conflicts and priorities.
- Organising meetings, travel arrangements, and accommodation.
- Supporting business development activity and client relationship management.
- Drafting, preparing, and issuing correspondence externally.
- Completing dictations, including emails, documents, file notes, and reports.
- Opening new files, preparing engagement documentation, and liaising with compliance teams regarding conflicts, know-your-client, and money laundering checks.
- Managing client filing and archiving, both physical and digital.
- Collating financial reports, monitoring WIP, and tracking aged debt.
- Handling incoming post, expense claims, invoices, and third-party payments.
- Updating the CRM platform with client details and BD activity.
- Providing support across the broader Dispute Resolution and Litigation team as required.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous Legal PA experience supporting Partners or Legal Advisors in a busy team.
- Experience in Northern Ireland litigation preferred.
- Highly motivated, organised, and able to work independently to a high standard.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage upwards effectively.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel; PowerPoint desirable).
- Experience with digital dictation systems.
- Flexible, adaptable, and willing to support multiple team members and tasks.
- Comfortable using AI-powered tools to enhance productivity.
- Friendly, approachable, and able to integrate into a high-performing, diverse team.
