We are working with a leading organisation to recruit a Commercial Lawyer for a Belfast-based in-house opportunity. This is a standout role offering a mix of high-quality commercial contracts work alongside exposure to cutting-edge legal issues across the technology and energy sectors.
The successful candidate will join a highly regarded in-house legal team and gain experience across two key areas: commercial contracts and regulatory energy matters. This is an excellent opportunity to develop specialist expertise while working on complex, high-value projects in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities- Contracts & Technology
- Advising on a wide range of commercial contracts including SaaS agreements, software licensing, confidentiality agreements, work orders, change orders and standard terms of supply
- Supporting on legal matters relating to intellectual property, IT and emerging technologies such as AI and NIS2
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements
- Energy & Regulation
- Working as part of a cross-functional team on regulatory and commercial matters within the energy sector
- Supporting projects across renewables, infrastructure and sustainability initiatives
- Advising on sector-specific legal and compliance issues
- Qualified solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE in commercial law
- Strong experience in commercial contracts, with exposure to IP, IT or energy desirable
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Commercially minded with the ability to provide practical legal advice
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly
- Proactive, collaborative and capable of managing your own workload
