Pathway Recruitment is delighted to be working with a prestigious, busy, and highly regarded law firm in Bangor, currently seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Legal Secretary with prior legal support experience to join a respected practice with a strong reputation in family and matrimonial law.

While experience within family or matrimonial law is highly desirable, candidates with solid legal secretarial experience from other practice areas will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to solicitors within the family / matrimonial department
  • Audio and copy typing of legal documents, correspondence, and court papers
  • Managing client files, both digital and paper-based
  • Liaising professionally with clients, counsel, courts, and third parties
  • Diary management, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings
  • Preparing legal forms, briefs, and case documentation
  • Handling telephone and email enquiries efficiently and confidentially
  • Supporting fee earners in the day-to-day progression of family law matters
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary within a law firm
  • Family or matrimonial law experience highly desirable
  • Excellent audio typing and document production skills
  • Strong organisational abilities with keen attention to detail
  • Professional and empathetic communication skills
  • Ability to manage a busy workload effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
