Our client, a well-established solicitors practice in East Belfast, is seeking to recruit an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join their busy team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a friendly, professional environment and to play a key role in supporting a busy solicitor specialising in all litigation matters, with a particular focus on personal injury (PI) work and credit hire cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing comprehensive secretarial support to a busy litigation solicitor.
  • Preparing and amending legal documents, correspondence, and court forms.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and telephone calls.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client files (both electronic and paper-based).
  • Scheduling appointments, managing diaries, and coordinating court dates.
  • Filing and archiving of documentation as required.
  • Liaising with clients, counsel, and other external parties.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and professionalism in all dealings.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a legal secretary within litigation, ideally with a strong background in PI work and credit hire.
  • Excellent knowledge of litigation procedures, including court documents and processes.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
