Our client, a well-established and respected law firm with multiple offices across Northern Ireland, is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join their busy Carrickfergus office. This is an excellent opportunity for a capable and organised legal secretary to support a conveyancing team handling a varied residential property caseload. The role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing high-quality administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive secretarial support to fee earners within the conveyancing department
- Audio and copy typing of legal documents, correspondence and contracts
- Managing files from opening through to completion, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date
- Dealing with clients, estate agents, lenders and other third parties via telephone, email and in person
- Preparing completion statements and assisting with post-completion matters
- Diary management, scheduling appointments and managing deadlines
- General administrative duties including file management and compliance with firm procedures
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary, ideally within conveyancing / residential property
- Strong audio and typing skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with a professional and friendly manner
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines
- Good IT skills, including experience with case management systems
- Reliable, organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team
