Solicitor / Associate Major Injury & Casualty,Belfast Overview Pathway Legal Recruitment is working with a global legal business to recruit a Solicitor or Associate for its Major Injury & Casualty team in Belfast. The role involves a varied caseload of litigated employers liability, public liability, casualty, disease and personal injury claims, including serious and complex injury matters. Applications are welcomed from solicitors with 14 years PQE in litigation. Newly qualified solicitors and trainee solicitors with relevant experience will also be considered, as will candidates from other litigation backgrounds. Key Responsibilities Manage a varied caseload from inception through to resolution. Investigate claims, gather evidence, interview witnesses and liaise with experts. Draft and review pleadings, witness statements and settlement agreements. Provide strategic advice to clients and represent their interests in court proceedings and settlement negotiations. Keep up to date with relevant legislation, case law and industry developments. Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm. Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards. Essential Skills Litigation experience, ideally within employers liability, public liability, casualty, disease or personal injury claims. A sound understanding of relevant law, civil procedure and litigation processes. The ability to manage a busy caseload with a level of supervision appropriate to experience. Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills. A collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering a high standard of client service.
