This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor, a trainee solicitor close to qualification, or an experienced paralegal with private client experience, who enjoys tax planning, estates, trusts, and succession work and wants to expand their financial advisory expertise. Working within a specialist Private Client Tax Advisory team, you will support high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and trustees on a blend of tax, estate, and succession matters. This role allows you to maintain and develop your legal foundation while gaining highly sought-after tax qualifications, including CTA and/or STEP. The firm is a well-established, progressive accountancy practice with multiple NI offices, offering full training, professional development, and exposure to complex, rewarding client work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal tax compliance and advisory work for private clients.
  • Provide support on capital gains tax, inheritance tax, trust structuring, and estate planning.
  • Contribute to succession planning, family business reorganisations, and residence/domicile matters.

Client Service & Collaboration

  • Work closely with solicitors, accountants, and independent financial advisers to deliver a seamless advisory service.
  • Build strong relationships with a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals and family businesses.

Professional Development

  • Develop technical expertise while applying legal reasoning, drafting, and advisory skills.
  • Engage in ongoing learning with support from experienced tax professionals.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Newly qualified solicitor, trainee solicitor close to qualification, or experienced paralegal with relevant private client/tax exposure.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and research skills.
