A well-established, highly respected and long-standing medium-sized law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to support one of their Partners within a busy and fast-paced litigation team. This is a key support role requiring strong prior litigation experience, ideally including personal injury and general litigation matters. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the Partner's caseload and providing high-quality secretarial and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing full secretarial support to a Litigation Partner
- Typing dictation, correspondence, pleadings and legal documents
- Managing diaries, arranging meetings and coordinating court deadlines
- Handling incoming calls and liaising with clients, counsel, courts and insurers
- Preparing court bundles and supporting case progression from instruction through to resolution
- File management, including opening, closing and maintaining accurate records
- Assisting with billing, time recording and general administrative duties
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within required timeframes in a fast-paced environment
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary within litigation is essential
- Strong knowledge of personal injury and general litigation processes
- Excellent typing and audio transcription skills
- High level of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to manage a busy workload and work to tight deadlines
