We are working with a busy and well-established solicitors practice in East Belfast to recruit an Accounts Assistant. This is a junior-level opportunity, ideally suited to someone with strong administrative or accounts experience who is keen to develop within a legal environment. There is clear potential for the role to progress into a Bookkeeper position for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assisting with payroll administration
  • Data entry and maintenance of financial records using spreadsheets
  • Supporting the wider team with general accounts administration
  • Use of the firms accounts system (Insight)
  • Assisting with ad hoc finance tasks as required

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in an accounts, finance or administrative role
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Well organised with the ability to manage a varied workload
  • Reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experienced Bookkeepers will also be considered

  • Salary in the region of £25,000 - £30,000 (pro rata if part-time)
