Pathos Continental Foods is a fast-growing Direct Importer and Distributor of quality food products. Established in 2022, we supply customers across the United Kingdom and beyond, serving Foodservice, Horeca, Contract Catering and Food Manufacturing. We are building a high-performing sales team and looking for a hands-on Sales Development Manager to help scale growth.
The Role
You will manage and develop a team of Sales Executives while also driving growth by winning new business and expanding key accounts. You will report to the Head of Sales & Operations and work closely with Procurement and Operations to ensure customers get great service and the right products.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach, manage and develop a team of Sales Executives (targets, activity, pipeline, negotiation, closing)
- Lead weekly 1:1s, pipeline reviews and field coaching to improve performance
- Build new business across:
- Foodservice / Wholesale
- Horeca (Hotels, Restaurants, Cafés)
- Contract Catering
- Food Manufacturing / Ingredients
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- 3-6 years sales experience (Sales Executive / Account Manager / Junior Sales Manager) ready to step up
- Experience selling in a food-related environment (foodservice, wholesale, manufacturing supply, hospitality supply)
- Proven ability to win new accounts and develop relationships
- Comfortable coaching others (formal management experience helpful but not required)
- Strong commercial skills: negotiation, margin awareness, account planning
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Knowledge of import/distribution (lead times, MOQs, pricing structures)
- Experience using a CRM and managing a structured pipeline
- Contacts/experience in the West Midlands food trade
