Management Accountant with Power BI, Sage X3, and Excel experience required by a government-affiliated organisation in the energy sector. As Management Accountant, you take responsibility for accurate management reporting, variance analysis, and core finance processes, while also contributing to the development of user-friendly dashboards that support business insight.
You’ll manage payroll journals, trial balance submissions to DESNZ, and lead finance’s input into monthly sign-offs. The Management Accountant also supports audit queries, year-end close, and works with the wider FP&A team on reporting packs and commentary.
Power BI dashboard creation is a key part of the role—supporting cost reporting, KPI tracking, and departmental summaries. Sage X3 is the core ERP used for postings, reconciliations, and monthly reporting. Strong Excel skills and experience with variance analysis are essential.
Required:
- Qualified or finalist management accountant (CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, ICAEW, ICAI or ICAS)
- Experience in management reporting and variance analysis
- Skilled in Excel, Sage X3, and Power BI dashboard creation
- Strong communication skills and process improvement mindset
Desirable:
- Advanced Power BI and Excel
- Previous experience with Sage X3 dashboarding or reporting
