Remote - UK Based Football

We’re working with a client with an established and fast growing sports betting affiliate platform looking to secure the talents of a deeply hands-on, Senior SEO Manager to take the lead on rankings, traffic and revenue inside the highly competitive sports and iGaming affiliate search markets. They need someone at the cutting edge on how to get the best from ever changing and increasingly AI-led search.

The scenario there is exciting. They've established themselves mainly with social media and while they drive plenty of organic traffic via search engines, SEO hasn't been their main focus and it remains hugely underutilised. You’ll be able to add loads of value right out of the blocks with near total freedom to build the SEO side of the platform in the best way possible. You’ll also be joining a business actively investing in where search is heading next, with real focus on how content surfaces across ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, alongside the growing impact AI is having on rankings, visibility and discovery.

Combined with direct commercial ownership, performance related bonuses, and the ability to work closely with engineering, product and data teams, this is a role ideal for someone who simply loves being on the front line deeply entrenched in sports betting search behaviour.

Responsibilities:
  • Own rankings, traffic, registrations and revenue across established sports betting brands.
  • Lead commercial, technical and editorial SEO strategy.
  • Work closely with engineering, product, editorial and data teams to grow organic search performance.
  • Drive backlink growth, AI search visibility and new organic growth opportunities.
  • Remain deeply hands-on inside a fast-moving affiliate SEO environment.
Required:
  • Proven experience in affiliate SEO or highly competitive search markets.
  • Sports betting, iGaming and football knowledge.
  • Commercial SEO, technical SEO and editorial SEO expertise.
  • Crawl analysis, indexation, internal linking, schema and technical audits.
  • Ranking and converting high-value affiliate landing pages.
  • Backlink strategy, search intent optimisation and AI-driven search visibility.
  • GSC, Semrush and GA4, ideally Mixpanel.
  • Strong writing, briefing and communication skills.
  • Able to operate autonomously and move quickly.
