Pathfinder are proud to assist our sister company CPS and are looking to recruit experienced car drivers to assist in the movement of passenger vehicles from the cruise terminal to and from the secure car park. This is an exciting time to be joining our team based in Portsmouth and to be involved in supporting the port activities as a CPS Driver.

Your daily responsibilities will consist of:

  • Safely drive passenger cars/vehicles between docks, cruise terminals, compounds and car parks.
  • Liaising with Head marshals/marshals on arrival at parking locations.
  • Taking instructions from the allocated crew bus drivers to meet productivity targets.
  • To ensure that the highest of standards are maintained with regards to the handling of customer vehicles.
  • To inform the CPS Manager/Supervisor of any problems found regarding the vehicles.
  • To observe the speed limits whilst in the port and when transiting between docks or on public roads, between East and West docks.
  • To move the vehicles between docks without deviation.
  • To be flexible and fully support the CPS Manager and CPS colleagues in the execution of their duties.
  • To observe and work towards the company’s Health and Safety policy, and ensure that the procedures are strictly adhered to, by maintaining and instilling in others a safe working environment.
  • To maintain the company’s quality process and compliance standards/procedures.

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Have a full driving licence.
  • Have a minimum of 12 months car driving experience (in order to comply with our insurance) with no more than 6 points on the driving licence and no drink driving disqualifications.
  • Smart appearance.
  • Successful candidates will be expected to attend Health and Safety Induction and a car driving assessment.
  • You will be subject to Identification checks, referencing and DVLA checks.

Competitive payment of £14.29 per hour weekdays and £14.85 per hour weekends and bank holidays, inclusive of paid annual leave accrual. The opportunity to increase your earnings when desired – we have other roles available we could allocate you to once you register with us.
