Business Systems Analyst with insurance platform configuration, SQL and mainstream insurance experience required by a software provider serving the insurance sector. In this role you work directly with insurers to configure systems, deliver change, and build reporting solutions.
This organisation delivers insurance technology used across policy, claims and accounts. The role is centred on configuring the platform to meet client needs, supported by hands-on SQL for reporting and analysis. You’ll lead workshops, gather requirements, and work closely with clients to shape solutions across general insurance product lines.
Responsibilities
- Lead client workshops and gather business and technical requirements
- Configure the insurance platform to meet administration-level needs
- Use SQL to build MI reports, validate data and support troubleshooting
- Create reports using Crystal Reports or MS Report Builder
- Support integration, testing and user training
- Produce documentation and contribute to project planning
Requirements
- Experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar in insurance or InsurTech
- Hands-on SQL skills: stored procedures, triggers, views
- Direct experience configuring insurance systems
- Understanding of policy, claims and insurance accounting workflows
- Familiarity with reporting tools and database applications
- Client-facing communication and delivery skills
- Hybrid working (2 days on-site in Essex)
- Exposure to full lifecycle delivery in insurance technology
- Salary between £70,000-£90,000 depending on experience
