A leading player in the packaging sector is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive new customer growth and manage a portfolio of key accounts. This is a commercially-focused role ideal for someone used to developing business with high-volume B2B clients across manufacturing, FMCG or retail supply chains.
You’ll join an established sales team and take ownership of a defined territory, focusing on around 70% new business and 30% account management. Backed by strong production capability and experienced internal support, you’ll lead commercial conversations from first contact through to delivery, with the autonomy to shape your patch.
Responsibilities- Identifying and winning new business opportunities across target sectors
- Managing and growing existing customer relationships
- Leading pricing, service and delivery conversations with key buyers
- Coordinating with internal planning, admin and technical support
- Delivering against annual revenue targets and activity KPIs
- Strong business development or field sales experience
- Background in packaging, manufacturing or industrial B2B environments
- Ability to manage both new and existing accounts
- Commercial confidence and ability to influence stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Full UK driving licence
- 25% annual bonus
