Base pay range

1st Line Support Engineer, Permanent, Up to Β£28,000 DOE, London (Hybrid)

1st Line Support Engineer with Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Windows OS support experience required by an IT managed service provider in London. In this role you support a broad client base while developing your technical skills in a service desk environment, working towards certifications and promotion within the team.

This IT MSP supports a diverse client portfolio across multiple sectors. You’ll work with modern tools, contribute to service improvements, and gain exposure to a wide range of technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st line support via phone and ticketing system.
  • Log, classify and prioritise incidents in line with SLAs.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues.
  • Manage tickets through their lifecycle, escalating when required.
  • Liaise with third parties and internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow ITIL-based processes.

Required:

  • 1–2 years’ experience in IT support.
  • Experience in a service desk role using an ITIL framework.
  • Microsoft 365 support (Email, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016–2022.
  • Windows 10/11 OS and Active Directory support.
  • Support for Microsoft Office Suite, laptops/desktops, and Apple devices.
  • Experience with backup technologies such as DATTO or Acronis.

Preferred:

  • MSP background.
  • Certifications: Any Cisco, Apple, Microsoft.
  • Linux support and server infrastructure knowledge.
  • Salary up to Β£28,000 DOE.
  • Hybrid working after probation (1 day remote, subject to business need).
  • Paid certifications, Cycle to Work scheme, gym membership.
