The post holder will work as an integral part of the unit team and be responsible for the coordination of all patient facilities services, ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
The main elements of the role are ensuring the delivery of cleaning, together with other specified tasks to meet individual patient needs as determined by the Nurse in Charge/Clinical Service Manager/Hospital Director.
The post holder will monitor quality standards, reporting deficiencies and recommending appropriate changes.
The housekeeper will enhance the patients' experience by ensuring that the unit is presented and maintained in a way which maximises the patients' sense of comfort, safety and well-being.
The housekeeper will work cooperatively with colleagues, as part of the team and perform additional duties as and when directed by the ward team, to enable staff to undertake direct patient care.
