This is a rare opportunity to join one of London’s most exciting independent agencies and work directly alongside one of the industry’s most respected design leaders. Our client is looking for a talented Junior or early Midweight Designer to become the second designer in the business, working closely with their Executive Creative Director of Design.
With a current headcount of 22, they are a creatively ambitious agency that’s already making waves with clients and gaining strong press and industry recognition for their work. As the only in-house designer today, the ECD of Design is looking for someone they can mentor, develop and mould into a key creative partner. You’ll have direct access to senior leadership, clients and creative teams, contributing across brand identities, campaign design, new business pitches and everything in between. You’ll also play a key role in shaping the agency itself.
As the agency continues its rapid growth, you’ll help evolve and develop the agency’s own brand, culture and creative presence, making this a genuinely unique opportunity to influence both client work and the future of the business. This is not a role where you’ll be buried in production work. It’s an opportunity to learn from one of the best, gain exposure to high-profile projects, and play a meaningful role in building a design department from the ground up.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a strong portfolio showcasing excellent design craft and ideas
- Is curious, ambitious and genuinely passionate about design
- Wants to learn from experienced creative leadership
- Enjoys working across branding, campaigns and cultural projects
- Has evidence of self-initiated projects, side projects or personal creative pursuits
- Is confident presenting and discussing their work
- Has motion design skills (a bonus, but not essential)
What you’ll get:
- Direct mentorship from The ECD of Design
- Exposure to world-class clients and creative briefs
- The opportunity to help shape the agency’s own brand and creative identity
- Involvement in high-profile pitches and new business opportunities
- The chance to help build and grow the design offering from the ground up
- A clear progression path as the agency scales and the design team expands
- A collaborative, senior team with plenty of visibility, ownership and responsibility
- A Soho-based studio with a 4-day-per-week office culture
The agency is still at the beginning of its journey, which makes this an incredibly exciting time to join. The agency is growing rapidly, winning major clients and attracting some of the industry’s best talent. For the right designer, this is a chance to grow alongside the business, take on increasing responsibility and play a meaningful role in building one of London’s most exciting creative agencies.
