A Field Service Engineer role covering the midlands with a package of up to £48,000, unlimited overtime at time and a half, a company van for personal use, and a fuel card.   • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (40 hours per week including 1 hour lunch)

The Role

This is a Field Service Engineer position covering the midlands (locations can include Stratford-upon-Avon, Banbury, Birmingham, Solihull and surrounding areas), responding to breakdowns and carrying out planned maintenance on a range of heavy plant and construction equipment. As a Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Attending customer sites across the midlands to carry out planned servicing and reactive breakdown repairs on heavy plant and construction equipment
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults efficiently, with a target response time of three hours to breakdowns
  • Completing accurate service reports and job records following every visit
  • Managing van stock and parts inventory to ensure first-time fix rates are maximised
  • Representing the business professionally on customer sites at all times
