About the Role
As a mechanical engineer, you will spend around 90% of your time in the workshop carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on mobile spray pumps, compressors, diesel-powered machinery, surface preparation machinery and associated equipment. There will also be occasional site visits, including breakdown support, when required. This mechanical engineer role offers plenty of technical variety and the opportunity to work with hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
About You
To succeed as a mechanical engineer, you should have:
- At least five years' engineering experience
- NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 minimum in Plant Maintenance, Motor Vehicle, Agricultural Engineering or a similar engineering discipline (Level 3 preferred)
- Strong hydraulic, electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience maintaining plant equipment or commercial vehicles
- A full UK driving licence
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
