Are you an experienced MEWP Service Engineer looking for a varied role that takes you beyond the standard workshop environment? This is a genuine opportunity to join a specialist operation in the Hertfordshire area, working on high‑specification lifting equipment across some of the most demanding sites in the UK and mainland Europe.

Benefits

  • Salary: circa £55,000
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 09:00 - 17:30 and Friday 09:00 - 16:30
  • Holidays: 28 days including bank holidays
  • Company van provided
  • Training to gain CAP accreditation

Responsibilities

  • Performing routine servicing, fault diagnosis and repair on a range of MEWPs including scissor lifts, boom lifts and articulated platforms
  • Conducting pre‑delivery, pre‑use and statutory inspections in full compliance with LOLER and PUWER requirements
  • Identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults to a high standard
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance programmes to reduce equipment downtime and extend operational life
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date records of all service activity, inspections and repairs completed
  • Providing operator familiarisation and guidance to customers on the safe use of mobile elevating work platforms
  • Supporting customers directly on site and attending breakdowns as required across UK locations and periodically on mainland Europe
  • Assisting with workshop duties at the Hertfordshire base including inspections, testing and run repairs
  • Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations at all times
