Key Benefits of the Field Service Engineer: £40,000–£45,000 basic salary Company van and fuel card Overtime paid at time and a half Overtime available after normal working hours and Saturdays, completely optional 20 days' holiday plus bank holidays Ongoing training and career development Mobile role covering customers across the North Opportunity to work on a varied range of construction and plant machinery About the Role – Key Responsibilities As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide a professional service to customers across the North, attending sites to diagnose faults, carry out servicing and complete mechanical repairs. You will work on a wide range of plant machinery, including excavators, wheel loaders, dumpers and similar construction equipment. A typical day will involve travelling to customer sites, fault-finding, preventative maintenance, servicing machinery and completing repairs to minimise downtime. This is a genuinely mobile position, offering variety and independence. You will need a full driving licence and your own tools to carry out the role effectively. About You – Skills & Experience The ideal Field Service Engineer will have previous experience working on plant machinery, agricultural machinery, heavy equipment or a closely related sector. You should be confident diagnosing mechanical faults, carrying out servicing and repairs, and working independently at customer sites. A practical, customer-focused approach and good communication skills are essential. You must hold a full driving licence and have your own tools. Experience with excavators, wheel loaders, dumpers or similar construction equipment would be highly advantageous.
