Mechanical/Hydraulic Fitter – welding, hydraulics, mechanical, electrical – Depot based Nr Enfield area of North London, salary up to £40,000 plus overtime and company van!

Due to continued success and further expansion this company is now looking to employ an additional mechanical/hydraulic fitter for their depot based in the North London area. If you have previous mechanical/hands on skills, welding skills and are familiar with the use of and repair of small tools, construction plant machinery or accessories, then this could be a great opportunity for someone looking to improve their skillset with additional training provided on specialist equipment.

The Job Role of a Mechanical/Hydraulic Fitter

  • You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and repairs to a range of plant/attachments at the depot
  • Carry out site breakdowns of plant machinery attachments when required
  • You will carry out installation, maintenance, repairs and servicing to a range of plant equipment/attachments
  • You will ensure that your vehicle is kept maintained and any faults or defects are reported immediately upon inspection.

To Be Successful as a Mechanical/Hydraulic Fitter

  • You will have previous experience within the plant hire industry and have welding experience along with basic electrical/hydraulic/mechanical knowledge
  • Experience working in a team environment assisting with the smooth running of a busy depot
  • No more than 6 endorsements on your license will be considered for this role.
  • Previous experience as a plant fitter, plant engineer, plant attachment engineer, hydraulic engineer, hydraulic technician, service engineer, or service technician.
