Benefits of the Field Service Engineer Role: Certified training as well as manufacturer training courses provided Working for a market-leading hire company Career progression routes available Up to £39k depending on experience + plenty of overtime Based in Yeovil, this field service engineer role is an extremely reactive position where you will support the company’s needs in the day-to-day requirements of service, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment. This includes excavators, loaders, telehandlers, rollers, and other material-handling equipment from manufacturers such as Toyota, Komatsu, Caterpillar (CAT), Hyster Yale, and many more! Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer Role: Service and repair plant equipment on-site and at customer locations Handle administrative tasks Maintain strong customer relationships Quickly and effectively diagnose faults on equipment to ensure minimal downtime for your client Provide solutions to queries from customers on-site, liaising with the hire desk where required Follow safety and housekeeping standards in your area of work, both in the workshop and at customer sites Represent the company in a professional and knowledgeable manner What We’re Looking For in a Field Service Engineer: It would be ideal if you have previously worked in positions such as engineer, mechanic, plant fitter, mobile plant fitter, workshop plant fitter, service fitter, service engineer, plant engineer, mobile plant engineer, material handling engineer, or service technician. You may have experience servicing and repairing plant or material handling equipment, with knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems, excellent customer service skills, and a motivated/enthusiastic approach to your work.
