Role Overview

This is an opportunity to play a key role in the future of data-driven decision-making within a growing international business.

You will work closely with experienced operational, engineering and commercial professionals, helping to shape how data is used to improve performance, enhance customer support and drive business growth.

Working closely with operational, engineering and commercial teams, you will develop KPI frameworks, dashboards and analytical tools that provide visibility, identify improvement opportunities and support strategic decision-making.

Your work will directly influence how the business manages assets, improves service delivery, creates commercial opportunities and enhances customer support.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to help shape our future data strategy while developing innovative reporting solutions across CRM/ERP, telematics and operational systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain and continuously improve KPI frameworks that provide clear visibility of business performance, trends and priorities.
  • Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reporting tools that enable data-driven decision-making across multiple departments.
  • Create meaningful management reporting that translates complex data into practical business actions.
  • Ensure stakeholders have access to accurate, timely and actionable performance information.
  • Analyse operational, service and parts data to identify trends, inefficiencies and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Leverage telematics, usage and operational data to identify opportunities for increased service revenue, parts sales and customer engagement.
  • Support the development of proactive maintenance, asset utilisation and customer support strategies through data analysis.
  • Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI reporting solutions for CRM, telematics and operational data sources.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy and consistency of reporting outputs.
  • Translate technical findings into clear, accessible and actionable insight for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Investigate anomalies, trends and exceptions to provide meaningful recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience in a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, Analytics Engineer or similar data-focused role.
  • Advanced expertise in Power BI, including: Data modelling, DAX development and optimisation, Power Query, Dashboard and report development, Performance tuning and report governance.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing KPI frameworks, scorecards and performance measurement systems that support operational and commercial decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of database structures, relational data modelling and data warehousing principles.
  • Experience extracting, transforming and modelling data from multiple sources, including ERP, CRM, telematics, operational and third-party systems.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, validation and analysis.
  • Advanced Excel capability, including Power Query, data modelling and complex analytical techniques.
  • Experience developing and maintaining automated reporting, ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage confidently with senior management and operational teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise competing demands and deliver high-quality analytical outputs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including: Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse architecture, Warehouses, Pipelines, Real-Time Analytics, Fabric Workspace Administration.
  • Proficiency in Python for data transformation, automation, predictive analytics and data engineering tasks.
  • Experience integrating and consuming data through REST APIs, web services and external data platforms.
  • Experience working with telematics, Io T, asset monitoring or machine-generated data sources.
  • Knowledge of predictive analytics, machine learning concepts and condition-based maintenance analytics.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in data analysis or a similar role is advantageous.
